Acima, a Rohm and Haas Co., has announced that Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has granted registration for the use of Rozone 2000 industrial microbiocide. The registration permits use in coatings applications, such as latex and solvent-based paint, semi-transparent stains and solid stains. In addition, this new registration will allow the use of Rozone 2000 in a variety of building materials, including elastomeric roof and wall coatings, sealants, caulks, joint cement and grouting.
Rozone 2000 offers broad spectrum control of fungi, algae and bacteria, and when used at mildewcidal rates, may eliminate the need for a separate in-can preservative, according to the company.
